Mint watermelon lemonade
Summer is here and what is better than a cool, fruity, refreshing beverage to cool you off? Nothing thats what! Me and my family stan for Chick-Fil-A’s mint watermelon lemonade although we all agree that it is entirely too sweet and it has a obvious fake watermelon taste (we also stan for watermelon juice so we can’t be fooled). So, my daughters gave me a task to make a yummy copycat version of Chick-fil-a’s lemonade and I knocked it out of the park. This lemonade can be made into popsicles, freeze cups, or you can just pour up a glass and drink up. Here’s a fun tip for the adults, after a long day add a splash of your favorite liquor and drink your troubles away. lol.

- 1 large watermelon
- 8 lemons peeled
- 6-8 leaves mint
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1/2 tsp fresh or minced ginger
- 2/3 cups granulated sugar

- In a large pitcher juice watermelon, ginger, and lemons using juicer.
- Slice mint leaves and place in pitcher with the blueberries. Add sugar to taste.
- Stir well and chill. If making icee’s pour juice into popscicle molds and freeze for 4-6 hours.
You can also use a blender for the watermelon and a hand juicer for the lemonade if you don’t have a juicer. Just place watermelon into blender and blend until it turns into a juice and use a strainer to strain out extra pulp and seeds. Juice lemons and add to the pitcher, then follow remaining directions above. I used a lavender sugar and it added an extra dimension of flavor, you can also add alcohol or a sparkler to make into a refreshing spritzer or adult beverage.
