Holiday season is my favorite time of the year for many reasons but, the drink take the cake. Yes, even over food. I love coming up with new drinks for us to enjoy. This sorrel recipe was born when I visited a Senegalese restaurant here in Atlanta a few weeks ago. They had this sorrel drink that I fell in love with and so I created my own with a twist and a few splashes of rum lol. You can always just add sparkling water and serve this beverage as a mock-tail. I have also attached the youtube tutorial of me making this step by step I hope that helps as well. Bottoms up and enjoy!

Add in the dried sorrel, nutmeg, orange peel, ginger, sugar, allspice berries, cloves, and cinnamon stick.
Allow to boil on medium heat for 30 minutes.
